0:11.3

property market and also as a class is worldwide but more importantly

0:15.0

than just reflect on what's happened we're going to look to the future, use this

0:20.3

information and help us make better decisions moving forward. Yes, welcome to the Property Podcast. Thank you for joining us. If you don't know, we have a company that buys over 100 million pounds worth of property for our clients every year. You can find out about that at Property Hub.

Invest. And as a result, having a view about what's happening in the market what's going

0:44.5

to happen in the market is pretty important so we made some predictions back in

0:47.9

January we'll go back and see how those have panned out and what is likely to

0:51.2

happen next but first there's some big news.

0:53.6

It's time for our news story of the week and Rob it's big news because we've had our

0:58.4

King's speech which is big news in itself but the R reform bill is no more well that's because it's

1:06.5

changed its name and now it's the renters rights bill call me off God this one Rob

1:15.3

dig in and we've only got the briefing notes to go off at the moment which isn't

1:18.4

like we haven't seen the full bill that the full bill probably doesn't exist but if you look at what the briefing notes say, it looks

1:25.0

like pretty much exactly the same thing to me. There's something in there about stopping

1:29.5

bidding wars which we've covered in the past and some of the wording is a little bit different

1:34.3

but as far as I can tell this is basically a cut and paste of the bill that was

1:39.3

going through when Parliament came to a premature end a couple of months ago.

1:44.0

And that in itself Rob is probably the big story here, which is what they have not done,

1:49.0

is carve out an end to Section 21 evictions and push that through as a bill on its own.

1:55.0

It's going through as part of a package of rental reform just like it was before,
