so it's time for our new story of the week and this week's news story is the

autumn statement so before we give you our opinion Rob do you want to do a round up of

all the big news stories out of the awesome statements that directly impact the property industry and landlords.

Yeah, it's a short list. In fact, I'd say that there's nothing directly affecting landlords.

So apparently they're going to have a new type of

permitted development that allows any home to be subdivided into two

flaps without planning permission and there's also supposed to be a fast track

planning service where developers can pay extra to get a

decision through in a certain time frame and get their money back if that

deadline is missed. There's also some much needed support for tenants on housing

benefit. The housing allowance has been frozen for the last three years

which means of course that fewer and fewer properties have become affordable under it.

That is now being raised back to where it should have been so it'll cover the least

expensive 30% of properties in the local area.

And again not directly affecting investors but for first-time buyers the mortgage guarantee scheme
