HS2 is back in the news this week, so we go over to our rail correspondent Rob Benz. Rob,

what's going on?

I am geeky enough to be passionate about this. I think a lot of people are actually passionate

about HS2, certainly politicians are. And it seems from the latest headline, which is

across most media outlets, is that the government is starting to go cold on the second phase

of HS2. So HS2 for those who want to wear is the superfast train from London to Birmingham,

and then it was going from Birmingham to Leeds and Manchester. Last year, they reduced

the scale of that, so it no longer goes to Leeds, but stops in the Midlands. And now they

are making noises, they be in a conservative party that they may also reel back on Manchester

as well, which if so would mean that we'd have a fast train from London to Birmingham,
