The eviction ban was something that came into place at the beginning of Covid-19 to protect tenants. It was due to end on the 25th June but it’s now been extended for a few more months. It’s a tough situation, most landlords are fine with it and can understand the reasoning behind it, but others are struggling with tenants who are causing all kinds of issues, and there’s nothing they can do about it. Hopefully it will come to an end on the new proposed date of 23rd August.   For Hub Extra this week we’ve got a quote from Warren Buffett. His most popular quote is ‘be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful’. But another one of our favourites is ‘only buy something that you’d be perfectly happy to hold if the market shut down for 10 years’. It's time for our new story of the week and this week we've taken a story from landlord today

The tenant eviction ban was a measure introduced a few months ago when

COVID kicked off as a method to protect tenants and Rob that protection is going on for at least a few more months.

and maybe things would be back to normal a little bit. Well, that hasn't happened as quickly as had been hoped,

extended again, but now we know it's until at least the 23rd of August. So it's a tricky one.

There are obviously lots of tenant groups who are very happy about this. Landlords in general I don't

think can be too unhappy about it because it's very clear why this is being done
