Earlier I mentioned that the monastery teacher is often called a guide and I like to think of a

parent in that way as well because a guide will step in and stop you if you're you know

crossing the boundaries but they also can give you a lot of freedom we don't also

take it personally because we're not their boss we're just stepping in to guide

them and to support them where they're at.
