It's time to talk some shit on the Powell movement.

Welcome to the Powell movement.

I'm your host Mike Powell, and I want to make these intros positive.

I really do, but that's not my life right now. Things suck. And while I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, it was the first one without Ange on our end. And that's okay. Thanksgiving wasn't a big deal to our family. Black Friday was the big day in our house. We would start off by going to Target, and each of us would buy a new ornament for our tree. Then we would come home, blast Christmas music and put up the tree and decorate. And's loved it. And that's what Keaton and I did today. We put on all the Christmas music. We did the tree. I wrapped the gifts. We went out and bought the ornaments. We got Anne's a Stanley Quencher ornament and she would have loved that. She loved Stanley. And we did all we could to honor Ange, and while the tree and the wrapping paper and all the gifts didn't come out close to as nice as Anne would have had it or how she would have liked it, but it's going to have to do. The one thing I'm not doing this year is putting up Christmas lights. And while Ann did like them, and really

she loved them, hanging them was the most dangerous thing that I do every year. And now that it's just

me and Keaton, I'm not going to go up on my roof and risk my life just to hang some Christmas

lights that I have to turn on every night and forget to turn off. Plus, I'm a Jew who doesn't

really believe in God right now. Honestly, while I will

agree that Christmas is 100% more fun than Hanukkah, I can't wait for Christmas to be over. It's

going to be so sad the whole time it's going on, and I feel that already. Then, once Christmas ends,

I get to look forward to what would be my 17th wedding anniversary on New Year's Eve. This is also my birthday, which is now forever ruined. Right now, the plan is to go see Mud Honey at Nectar or Numos or one of those bars. I don't know, I bought some tickets because I like Mud Honey and I'm going to need something to do. Live music seems to be like the fun thing that makes me forget about a lot of things. So that's what I'm going to do for New Year's Eve.

I don't know who's going to be there with me, but that is my plan. What else am I trying to say? Let's see. I guess that 2026 can't come fast enough. That's really where I want to be. And now I've got to do something that I never ever do. I forgot to mention who is taking me to Jackson. So I am recording after the fact. I didn't want to go back and re-record the whole intro. So outside life is taking me there if you haven't checked out their site.

They have all different types of vacations from Jackson Hole with me in December to Japan with Caitlin Farrington.

I think that's in February, but they have every kind of trip like that and everything in between with all the culture and a lot of nightlife all weaved in. I'm going to have a blast in Jackson. You can have a blast wherever you go. My final job and most important job is this podcast. That's what we're here for today. And my guest is another U.S. ski and snowboard Hall of Famer. Chris Davenport is an absolute legend in skiing. He's known for winning extreme world championships, being the first to ski all 54 of Colorado's 14ers. He's skied Everest. He's had first descents all over the world,

and he's as humble and as nice as they come. Chris has seen it all in the industry, and recently,

he went through a bunch of bullshit with peak skis on his way to finding a new home over edge DPS skis.

And we talk about that until Chris was over it, but you know me, I still annoy him with a couple other questions because I can't help myself.
