Welcome to the Powell Movement.

0:16.8

I'm your host Mike Powell, and last week I had a long intro about how ski shops are great and direct to consumer isn't as great.

0:24.8

And you know what? That's not totally true.

0:27.5

I have no problems with brands selling direct.

0:30.1

I mean, I've bought from Brands Direct, and it's a great experience.

0:33.4

I guess all I meant with my rant was that I don't like it when brands undercut dealers.

But you know what? As long as people are buying gear, I'm happy. That's that. And this week,

0:43.6

I have another Jackson Hole related episode. I've had a couple of these recently, and I have a

couple more coming up. And to make these Jackson Hole-centric episodes interesting each week,

to some amazing stories. I think you're going to love it as well. I should mention,

1:20.2

the reason that this episode came to be is so you could know about Wade's incredible book,

1:25.1

The Ark of Skiing Jackson Hole, 45 years behind the lens.

1:29.2

Wade has a Kickstarter out there, and he wanted to make sure that he got on this podcast

1:32.9

before the Kickstarter ended so you could find out about the book and buy it. So head on over

1:37.5

to the Kickstarter this week and buy his book. It really is an incredible piece of ski history.
