I'm your host Mike Powell, and it's the final week of International Women's Month.

And if you haven't noticed, I've been featuring badass women every week in March.

While seeing the title International Women's Month on the calendar was the inspiration for doing four women in a row,

I, and we as a society and as an industry, need to get better when it comes to gender equality

and equality in general.

While my podcast has had more women than most, I need to keep getting better and that's

one of my goals moving forward with everything that I do in life, to get better and to be

more considerate of others.

But I'm not going to sit here and talk about what I can do better. I'm just going

to do it. And this week, my guest is another late bloomer, someone who had to fight for everything

that she's received in skiing. While Elise Sogstad is a household name in the ski industry

these days, her role in the industry was not defined until she started fighting for change. Elise spent the early part of her pro career being the squeaky wheel, fighting for what

was right when it came to women in skiing.

This isn't just a story about an incredible athlete making it.

It's a look into the life and times of a person who risked it all to become a lightning

rod for change.

Elise Sogsted has had a huge impact on the
