0:21.2	While we had beginner's luck the first week and we caught 10 huge crabs that were mostly
0:25.5	dungeness, this week was a little tougher.
0:28.1	We were more prepared.
0:29.3	I mean, we had everything compared to last week.
0:31.5	Last week we used goggle bags for bait and we were total rookies.
0:34.9	But now we have all the gear and we came up with like
0:38.1	eight rock crab. They're good but their shells are so thick and they have so many channels
0:42.8	in the body that it makes getting the meat a pain in the ass. But it was better than getting
0:46.8	no crab. The funny thing about all this is how we crab. My buddy was given a hyperlight
0:51.3	tritune dock. It's meant for a lake and he keeps that thing out on the Puget Sound 24-7.
0:56.9	And when we paddle out, we are literally paddling out a 10-by-10 float that isn't intended for but can handle big ocean waves.
1:05.0	On our last pull of the crabs the other day, we look like total idiots out there in insane conditions

1:11.6	and maneuverable as a couch on the water. It was full-on life jacket conditions, but I will say
1:17.0	crabbing is a fun new hobby, even when we make it dangerous. While I still feel terrible about
1:22.7	killing the crabs, when I eat them, I totally forget about it. So podcasting and crabbing is what I've been doing
1:28.6	lately. I'd say hanging out with my kid, but he's been either out of town or at a sleepover all but
1:33.6	about five nights so far this summer, which is why I've had to pick up this new hobby of crabbing.
