Welcome to the Powell movement. I'm your host Mike Powell, and this week I have some really

awesome news regarding my wife and her cancer situation.

Wednesday was her last day of chemotherapy, which is so exciting.

While the medicine has been working and her last scan showed no cancer detected, this whole process has been pretty brutal.

I'll walk you through how it goes.

And walks into the hospital feeling great. And then it's off to labs, so she gets those through a port so she doesn't have to have an IV in her arm every time.

Then we go to six hours of chemo infusions.

And then we head home with what looks like a VHS tape hooked up to her giving her 30 more hours of medicine.

And then it's back to the hospital two days later

to get disconnected, and then three more hours of fluid infused in her, and that is her chemo

experience. While this part totally sucks, it's the next five days that are really, really

awful. And she's nauseous, her hands and feet go numb, and she can't deal with anything cold,

and she's generally miserable.

And then slowly but surely she starts to feel better.

And once she feels really good, we do it all over again.

The good news is we're done with chemotherapy and really we have one very important scan left

and if that goes as planned, Ange has one major surgery, and hopefully this nightmare is behind us.

But that's not all the nightmares for the Powell family.

Another nightmare, which we're in the middle of and it's not close to as bad as cancer, is our roofing project.
