While I'm more a fan of the parking lot than the band, I do like the music.

And there is something so entertaining to me about being around all the hippies.

I mean, these are no 60s hippies, or even hippies comparable to the last time

I saw the dead in the 90s. This new breed was way too young to have seen the original

band in person, but who cares? They looked and acted the part. I think they're known as

whookies these days, and really, who knows what these kids do when the dead aren't touring.

My guess is that they're seasonal employees

summer resorts. But regardless, it was fun being around these people. These people. And while I

didn't spend as much time in the parking lot as I wanted to, I smelled enough pachuli, I heard so many nitrous balloons, and

saw more drug transactions go down in open air than I have in my entire life.

So I guess the big difference from the 90s to today was how open the drug market was,

was how young the hippies were, and the new singer-gatarist John Mayer.
