Colleen Quigley’s life has been a series of dream jobs…. but nothing never really seemed easy for her. Coming up on the East Coast, Colleen was a shop rat who made a B-List pro snowboarding career happen. Her time as a pro shred was nothing flashy but it set her up to shine behind the scenes in the world of snow. On the podcast, we talk about her pro days, her desk jockey days, and being a woman on the office side of snowboarding. It’s the first business episode in a while and it’s a good one.

0:34.5 | And this week may be the most important business episode of all so far. It's Colleen |
0:39.6 | Quigley, the marketing director for DeKine. And the main difference between Colleen and the rest of my |
0:45.2 | business episodes is that Colleen happens to be a woman, a badass woman, and every other business |
0:51.0 | episode and 90% of the action sports workforce is made up of men. |
0:56.0 | Now, if you are a regular listener, you may be thinking, dude, whenever he brings a woman on, |
1:01.0 | he talks about gender in the workplace or on the mountain or just gender in general. |
1:05.9 | And that is not totally true. I think I've done one or two episodes with women where I didn't |
1:10.5 | talk about it. But I really |
1:12.2 | need to bring this up. And it's not like I sit at home and think to myself, I need to be a champion |
1:17.4 | for women's causes with my podcast. But women are constantly getting fucked in the workplace. |
1:23.0 | And while that's funny for me to say for obvious reasons, it's also really sad that it's so hard for a woman |
1:28.4 | to get her due in society today. But here's the good news. Colleen Quigley has gotten her due. |
1:34.4 | And when we did the podcast, she was a measly digital marketing manager. And in the months |
1:38.9 | since we talked, she was promoted. She's now running the snow show at the kind as the marketing director, and that |
1:46.0 | is pretty awesome. Now that I've prepped you for women's discussions, you actually aren't going to get |
