I'm your host, Mike Powell, and this week it's back to a business episode.

When I started this show, my goal was to put out an athlete interview one week and follow that up with a business show within the same sport the following week.

That really doesn't happen anymore, and no one seems to mind.

But the business episodes are important.

And this week may be the most important business episode of all so far. It's Colleen

Quigley, the marketing director for DeKine. And the main difference between Colleen and the rest of my

business episodes is that Colleen happens to be a woman, a badass woman, and every other business

episode and 90% of the action sports workforce is made up of men.

Now, if you are a regular listener, you may be thinking, dude, whenever he brings a woman on,

he talks about gender in the workplace or on the mountain or just gender in general.

And that is not totally true. I think I've done one or two episodes with women where I didn't

talk about it. But I really

need to bring this up. And it's not like I sit at home and think to myself, I need to be a champion

for women's causes with my podcast. But women are constantly getting fucked in the workplace.

And while that's funny for me to say for obvious reasons, it's also really sad that it's so hard for a woman

to get her due in society today. But here's the good news. Colleen Quigley has gotten her due.

And when we did the podcast, she was a measly digital marketing manager. And in the months

since we talked, she was promoted. She's now running the snow show at the kind as the marketing director, and that

is pretty awesome. Now that I've prepped you for women's discussions, you actually aren't going to get

much about gender on this podcast, just a couple of minutes. Colleen and I talk about coming up in
