The particular aspect of womanhood that I was given to teach on today is the quality of nurturing,

which is honestly hilarious because I might be a girl, but that is not my strongest quality by a long shot.

This is actually a video of me 10 years ago

when I was a 19-year-old in college, and I had a girl gang of funny friends, and I would have

Judy chopped you in a New York minute. And hear me, we really were not cool, but nonetheless,

I had no intention of nurturing anything or anybody.

And yet, this is me now.

And I still wear black, and I still have those friends, and I actually still have the Viking

helmet.

But whether you women in the room feel like nurture comes naturally to you or like me, not

at all, I want to show you today, but I think it's something

that every woman was made for. I think nurturing is a part of our heavenly DNA. And to the

fellas in the room, I want to remind you that this is not just a sermon to women. It's a sermon

about women and what God has to say about them, but it's for

everyone, because all of God's word is good for all of us. So consider this to be part of a well-balanced

diet of biblical truth. Now, we don't hear the word nurture a whole lot in common vernacular.

The place where we might hear it most is in conversations about nature versus nurture,

what's to blame or what's to credit for how a human being turns out.

The parents of serial killers and criminals probably gravitate towards blaming nature

for the course that their children took.
