I think I was in the

fifth grade

And I remember that song.

I remember hearing that song for the first time they were playing at a bus station in Connecticut.

We had just come in, the first time I ever took the bus.

My mom and grandma and I took the bus from Northern Maine to Connecticut, Hartford,

to visit my cousin Lloyd and his family and East

Granby, Connecticut. And I want to tell you, I'll never forget that bus ride. We stopped.

It seemed like every 10 feet. And I realized, you know, it was a greyhound and they have so many

stops. Oh, my God. It was comfortable enough, you know, for

1969, 1970, air conditioning, everything. This was the summer. But something that really,

you probably only want to do like once if you have to take a bus any place i hated school buses i hated uh when i was

teaching i hated coaching and taking those trips on that damn bus is 40 below i mean they warmed it up

when you came out but still the bus is uh yeah you know and it's a school bus is of course a lot different than a coach bus for

uh greyhound it was a comfortable ride it's just a man what should have been like seven or eight

...
