My toxic coworkers lied about me to my manager just so they would get me fired from my job.

And now after leaving this restaurant job, I am still getting message by them and my former managers,

claiming things about me that are blatantly untrue.

Here's what happened.

Okay, so I'm just really baffled at how this situation was handled.

At the beginning of my shift, the owner pulled me into another

room and very rudely spoke to me about a Facebook comment I made that apparently made them look bad.

In the comment, I was thanking someone for sending me a gift card because I had no money for food

after I lost power and lost all my food after we got hit by a hurricane in Texas. I mentioned that I worked down the street

from them and that I didn't want to rack up a tab at my job because I'm broke and our food is

expensive. I wasn't talking garbage about the company or anything like that and everyone who goes

there already knows that the food is expensive and that's why they go to the restaurant. I wasn't

saying it in a bad way, but instead I was

just stating that I am poor. Well, my reasoning just didn't matter because she was extremely flippant

and clearly wasn't interested in anything I had to say. The owner said that if she sees anything

like that again, then I won't be working there anymore. It was all just really rude and seemed

childish and just so

ridiculous. And I really did not take kindly to it. I don't feel like that's an acceptable way to

speak to employees. I feel like she could have said something like, hey, I understand it wasn't your

intention to make the restaurant look bad, but please be mindful about things like that in the future.

And if she had just said that,

then it would have been fine. She was saying things like, if you have a problem, you have my number.
