But regardless of where the politics lead us today, our hope is in Jesus.

And I know that our votes matter, but I have a fundamental conviction that our prayers matter more,

and that our faith matters more, and that ultimately the heart of God is to establish the kingdom of heaven on the earth.

And so my prayer, and I hope

that you would echo this prayer, is to say, Lord, use me. Use me to establish heaven on the earth.

Use me in the way that I love my kids. Use me in the way that I respond to the punches that I take in

life. Use me as a believer. Use me in my job. Use me as I'm a student. Use me in the way that I love

people, the way that I care for people, and then the decisions that I make. Use me. So if you would

join me, can we pray together? Father, we love you.

And Jesus, we know that you are the hope of the world.

Jesus, we know that it is your kingdom that has the real solutions for our world.

And we know that as believers in you, Jesus, that our citizenship is primarily, and it is first and foremost in heaven.

And so, Lord, we ask that you would show us your heart.

Show us your values, Jesus.

Show us what you desire.

That we might walk according to your ways. that we might walk according to your purposes, that we might walk according to your plan. And Lord, we echo the

prayer of Jesus for our city, for our communities, for our families, for our nation. Jesus, your kingdom come, your will be done

on earth as it is in heaven. And Jesus, help us to keep our eyes locked on you. Because you are

the light of the world. You are the way, the truth, and the life. And you are the name above every other name.

Jesus, you are the king of kings. You are the Lord of Lords. And you sit on a throne that doesn't

change based on our circumstances in this life. You sit on a throne that is immovable and unshakable.

And Lord, we eagerly anticipate the day when heaven becomes our reality.
