get right into this message. As you know we've been on this series called the

Basics of Spirituality and and we've been talking about a lot of things. We

started off in week one talking about worship and then after worship we talked

about prayer and then after prayer last week we talked about meditation and

this week we're gonna talk about fasting and let me just say right now if you

have missed any of those weeks I encourage you head over to YouTube, head over to

the podcast, get these words in your spirit. I believe that God gave me a

series of messages that will build you, will prepare you for the things that

God has for you and for the times that we're living in and as a

relates to the times I think that this message on fasting is going to be

vitally important for you to understand fasting and move in a dimension of

of what fasting does and we're gonna talk about that in just a second. Before we

do let's jump right in the word I want to give you a passage of scripture which

is gonna be kind of our basis for today. We'll pray and it will jump right into

this thing and so let's go in your Bible let's run over to Matthew chapter 9 and

we're gonna read verses 14 through 17 and then we'll take it from there it says
