but this is part two of our episode about tourism that we recorded live at San Francisco Sketch Fest 2018 with special

guest Allison Rosen. So if you are hearing this and you haven't listened to part and really enjoy these two episodes because this is just going to kind of start in

media res as they say and so it would be a little jarring so I wanted to do this

Oh, This is from Kelly. What's the best way to politely ask permission before taking photos of locals and I assume you mean like in a candid not like a

modeling shoot. I think that my advice for this question would be

Don't ask, just make it look like a selfie.

No, don't do that either.

I would say to take your focus to the place,

so like the landscape or the building,

if people happen to be in this photograph, I don't think that you need to have them sign a release or anything.

But unless you have already befriended and you feel comfortable taking a photograph of a person that you have befriended,

you probably shouldn't ask a stranger if you can take their picture.

Here's why.

Here's why it is problematic and you should not do it.

Because if you're taking a picture of a local because they're just so

interesting looking to you, that's bad. That's not a good thing to do.
