He's a flight director in Mission Control Houston, and he also happened to be an astronaut before that.

He's the first and only person to do so.

We had a great discussion about his story, from his humble beginnings all the way through

his flight to the International Space Station. He talks about becoming a

flight director and the importance of what that means in mission control, especially

leading a team of folks who, as Gene Krantz once said, are tough and competent.
