| 1:54.0 | And listed for a five year tour in Vietnam, where he focused on learning heavy construction, a scale he would use after his time in the Navy ended. |

| 2:10.0 | According to his mother, David was on the rebound after his breakup in Michelle, or Shelley as she was more often called, was friendly and loving towards him. |
| 2:20.0 | Michelle had gotten divorced in 1977 and had two daughters from that marriage, that David would eventually come to care for as well. |
| 2:29.0 | They married in Long Beach, Washington, and eventually had a daughter together. |
| 2:33.0 | They moved around a bit in the near 15 years they spent together, before finally settling down in Raymond in the 1990s. |
