She lives, writes, and teaches by the shores of an Eagle Haunted Lake in the Pacific Northwest.

Her fiction publications include stories in Asimov's, Clark's World, and Tor.com.

Her short story, Five Ways to Fall in Love on Planet Porcelain from Short Story Collection, near and far Hydra House

books was a 2012 Nebula nominee. Her editorship of Fantasy magazine earned her World Fantasy Award nomination in 2012 as well.

Now the name Kat is very familiar in a Clark told sense.

As she narrated the short story, Robot by Helena Bell, back when I was hospitalized in 2012. She also had a story in May

2011 whose face this is I Do Not Know. November 2009 featured The Mermaidmaid singing each to each.
