But I actually want to start with the new sensation,

which is sweeping Major League Baseball,

a.k.a. torpedo bats,

a.k.a. bowling pin bats,

a.k.a. the bats that the Yankees used to bludgeon Milwaukee all weekend long.

15. 15 bombs in one series. Nine of them on Saturday alone. Three of them came on the first three pitches of that Saturday game,

which just so happened to be the not-so-triumphant return to the Bronx for Nestor Cortez.

You remember him, don't you?

How incredible is it that this is the dude that gave up a walk-off grand slam

in the World Series and then comes back to Yankee Stadium and allows three home runs on the

first three pitches of the game? A World Series walk-, and then three straight home runs on the first three

pitches against your former team. I'm not going to say this is the reason I got into this

business, but this is one of the reasons why I got into this business. It's incredible.

I'm sorry, but that's got to be the worst four-pitch run in baseball history.

Well, it would be except for those five outs that he wants to make sure that we remember that he was able to get in game three.

You know, the five outs that Nestor complained about earlier this offseason that nobody remembered or cared about.
