We'll be doing our light episode today and today's episode is anything but light. I'll explain in a minute. Thank you're listening to fighting for the faith.

My name is Chris Rosebro and I am your servant in Jesus Christ, and this is the program that dishes

up a daily dose of biblical discernment, the goal of which. Help you to think

biblically, help you to think critically, and help you compare what people are

saying in the name of God to the word of God. No shortage of crazy things being

said out there. We take the time to open up our Bibles and do the comparative work

to test and see what the most popular pastors, preachers, teachers, conference speakers,

self-proclaimed prophets, prophetesses, self-appointed apostles, and apostillets, and those generally

put forward by the evangelical industrial complex complex as those who we need to be listening to whose books we need to be buying

whose curriculum we need to be studying instead of the word of God to test and see if what they're saying actually

squares with what God's word says when we put things back in context, use good

proper hermonutics and exegesis, a little bit of focus on grammar, a Christ-centered approach to

scripture, and properly distinguishing between law and gospel, and over and again, we see that things are, well, there's a big problem much of a big problem in American

evangelicalism and beyond due to anti- doctrinal beliefs and well that somehow it's okay as long as somebody is

bringing in a lot of people they can go ahead and twist God's word any old way they want to

now by way Michael Brown is going to be the guy again that

we're kind of we're gonna focus a little bit on and here's what I mean by

that it was Michael Brown who in his

very long sermon about himself talked about other revivals that were happening at the time the Brownsville revival and he made it sound like they were totally legit

one of them being the so-called Toronto blessing.
