Hey everybody, welcome back to Cold Case Murder Mysteries, I'm your host Ryan Kraus returning

to examine yet another baffling case, this time delving into the unrelenting enigma that

is the fate of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370.

The Boeing 7, carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew members, departed Kuala Lumpur on

a red eye just after midnight on March 8, 2014, flying north in darkness over the South

China Sea toward its destination of Beijing, China.

Less than an hour into the flight however, as the plane was leaving Malaysian airspace

and set to enter Vietnamese airspace, it was cut off from further communication with

their traffic control.

Its electrical system facilitating all communications with the world below on solid ground had suddenly

been turned off, whether through an act of sabotage or equipment failure, and MH370

seemingly disappeared forever.

Recently, interest in the case was reignited by a sensational documentary on Netflix,

one that has left some people making accusations about the intentions of the piece, as it seems

to focus more on the potential for conspiracy and malicious intentions, but here's the

problem with precluding some of those possibilities without evidence, at least as far as I'm concerned.

The strange history of aviation, as short as it is currently, has rendered some of the

most outrageous, audacious, and mysterious stories involving criminal activity that a person

could imagine.
