Good afternoon. My name is Yvonne. I'm an alcoholic.

Yvonne. It's really lucky to be here.

When I got the message of my phone that I've been asked to share

at the convention,

I was a little bit concerned because

Richard had written in here that

we must use no abusive or offensive

language. So

I'm not going to say much.

I can remember when I first came into Alkalix Anonymous,

I couldn't say a sentence without a swear word in it.

And I want to thank Alcarolix Anonymous today that I can talk without having to swim.

It's absolutely awesome.

Yeah, the topic is, why is this simple program so hard?

Well, I believe the only reason why it's hard is because I make it hard.

There's no other reason.

And I can only share my experience, strength and hope with fellow alcoholics,

and that's what I'll do because the rest will be all just opinions.

And I started drinking at the tender age of 14.
