One of the things that I've learned in alcoholics anonymous is that change happens over time,

but inevitably we all change, whether we resist it or not, change is inevitable.

And I couldn't help but think back in the early days of my sobriety, all I was concerned

about was physical sobriety, which makes sense.

I come to alcoholics anonymous, not to find God, but to get sober.

So my attention was on the physical sobriety, and my attention stayed there for quite

Thinking we used to have a saying back then used to say, you know, if I quit drinking

today, I'll be at St. by Thursday, believing that alcohol was the cause of the problem.

Soon later, I learned that that's not true.
