That's one of my favorite lines in this big book because I just remember my sponsor was

So my sobriety day to September 22nd 2009, I had come to alcohol synonymous with a few

years dry from alcohol, suffering terribly from untreated alcoholism.

I was about to lose my job, I was getting a divorce, I was about to lose my child, my

co-workers, my colleagues were afraid of me and that to me was shocking because I never

saw myself as a bully, I never saw myself as someone who suffered terribly towards others.

I always felt that I was the victim and other people were always tormenting me, right?

And so what a shock it was to hear that my colleagues were afraid of me and if I really

wanted to keep that job, I needed to go to the Employee Assistance Program and it was

there that I went and that's when the obsession to drink returned and because it had been

lifted through the 12 steps, it was just a different program and I can't treat alcoholism

anywhere else than an alcoholics synonymous in my experience.

So I was in a fellowship, the closest thing I got to was my sponsor's husband's big

book, she looked at me, saw me coming before I saw myself, handed me her husband's big

book and said, you might want to try some AA meetings and I tried one and there was only
