And a long time ago, you know, nobody would talk about this. See, what they talked

about was about how bad off they used to be, being drunk and the damage they did and so on

and that. And I, of course, went along with all of that, too. And I never once ever knew

about recovery or never knew the real reason to come to meeting,

they keep coming to meetings, to where these candles start to pile up, you know.

And now what I mean by that, I know that I go to meetings and I know that I stay sober by going

to meetings and I stay sober by staying out of bars and all that.

But, you know, what I don't know is I don't know how bad off my mind can get

so that I'm liable to go back into that bar, because that's why I used to go into that bar,

because I couldn't live in a world I was in, and I wasn't drunk 24 hours a day. You know, I did become that way, but I couldn't live in a world I was in and I wasn't drunk 24 hours a day, you know,

I did become that way, but I wasn't that way when I started.

And so to speak of recovery here, I believe that it should be talked a little bit anyway

about what the disease of alcoholism is today right now.

This is an individual program.

This is in the collectively, collectively it's written that way, so that it applies to every one of us.

But individually, it has to be applied individually or you can't have it.
