My home group is the New Horizons group of Alcoholics Anonymous in Bend, Oregon.

And we meet Monday through Thursday in person, where our group is about 30 plus years old.

We did switch over to the online platform during the pandemic, and we did that for two years, and this was our first week back into the church. And so

First and foremost, it's always an honor and a pleasure to talk anywhere in Alcoholics Anonymous,

to be invited anywhere in Alcoholics Anonymous, but especially to talk about step one.

And I think that it's because it comes with such a heavy and important responsibility.

I think that step one, well, technically it's half of our program.

If you're looking at the big book of Alcoholics Anonymous, step one is half of our program.
