The trial step says having a spiritual awakening is a result of these steps we try to

carry this much into alcoholism to practice these principles and all our affairs.

There are quite a few definitions of spiritual awakening in our big book.

We talk about the changes necessary to remain sober, happen amongst us in many different

ways.

When a talks later on it talks about that we have tapped an unsuspected inner resource

that are more religious members talk about being in the consciousness of God.

In the 12 and 12 it has a pretty big description but it talks about being able to do feel and

believe that what you could not before an unnated strength in your own resources along

and then they expand on that quite a bit.

I'm going to read you something from Bill Wilson here in a second.

I'm not, I don't know exactly what I'm going to say.

I've been a little bit worried about it so I might want to wander over and around.

I think everybody in this room has had a spiritual experience.

I have never been, I've been to a lot of AA meetings and Minnesota we have a lot of

step discussion meeting and I can't tell you how many 11 step or 12 step meetings and 11

step meetings I've been at where the subject goes around and we're talking about our spiritual
