My name is Sandy and I'm an alcoholic and thanks to Alcoholics Anonymous I am alive and I have been sober one day at a time continuously for 18 years and that is a miracle.

I am the eldest of three daughters.

Sorry, I hesitate there because in 2017,

my baby sister took her own life to this illness, but I still am the eldest of three.

My father was in the Air Force and he was a very very strict man.

It's. I had to it's like I had three little three little lives when I was growing up. I had the life at home which was really really scary. My dad was unpredictable and he was quick with his fists and he was cruel and he said that I would never be loved that nobody would ever want me. The rules were so strict that we weren't allowed
