I'm an alcoholic.

Man, it is so good to be here this morning.

And, you know, it's funny, this room is great, you know, red velvet walls.

I haven't been in a red velvet wall room in forever.

Of course, you know, all of the memories come flooding back, but it's great to be here for another reason.

And I always like those, you know, the cushions.

great to be here and I appreciate you having me here what a a great topic, our primary purpose.

You know, primary purpose to stay sober and to help other alcoholics achieve sobriety.

What a simple, brilliant concept, but yet one that baffled me for years.

So hard to do for an alcoholic. Seems simple in theory,

but it took me forever to understand that concept forever because this alcoholic, which I'm

sure that like me, we all are this way, and that's the beautiful thing, is that I want to be self-sufficient.

I didn't like that concept because it meant that we needed each other.
