0:21.3

injuries to talk about from Sunday we're to go through those let you know what

0:24.9

it means for your fantasy teams and then we're gonna highlight the top waiver

0:27.8

ads at each position before my full column comes out on Monday night so be able to

0:32.0

see that as soon as that goes up normally they're right before or during Monday

0:36.1

night football but we're to talk about the top waiver ads on today's show here so let's not waste a second i want to get through all these injuries it was one of those weeks where just seemed like every single player left with an injury at some point and we were lucky a lot of them were able to come back and finish the game unfortunately some of them weren't and it's kind of odd because I look back at last year's

0:54.6

week two podcast and it was the exact same thing. We actually called it surviving this week's injury

0:59.8

apocalypse. And I don't think it was as bad this year, but we did have a lot of star players go down.

1:05.6

So let's talk about all the notable ones here. We'll start with Dalvin Cook. Seems like he's got a high

1:10.3

ankle sprain. He hurt the ankle, continued to play through it for a while. We know with these ankles how it goes sometimes, right? You can feel like you can keep going. You're only making it worse most of the time, especially when you're running back and you're getting twisted up, you're getting tackled. You're ending up at the bottom of those piles. And that's what kind of kind of happened with cook right he kept going and then he heard it again later in the game so we're going to see what the doctors say early in the week i haven't seen an update yet on monday but i'm going to guess that he's got a long way to go here before you'd feel good enough about having him out there and playing him and having him play effectively in week three because we know with the high ankle sprains, even the low grade ones, it can cause running backs especially,

1:48.4

but the skill position players can really struggle trying to play through those.

1:52.5

You could rush out to the waiver wire though and get a guy who could potentially step into

1:57.2

his spot and give you RB2, maybe RB1 numbers in Alexander Madison. He's available in 68% of leagues as Cook's main backup there. But we're going to talk more about him during the waiver wire section. Next up, Deontay Johnson with the knee injury, suffered it on the final play of the game. It left him. He was just grabbing at his knee in pain on the ground there. Basically the worst way to end a game that was already pretty bad for the Steelers. They lost to the Raiders in that one. But we really didn't get much of an update after the game. Fortunately, today, it does sound like he avoided a long-term injury there. So we don't know his status for Sunday yet. Doesn't seem like it's going to be of the serious season-ending variety,

2:36.1

you know, something that could cost him most of the year.

2:38.3

Seems like it's going to be a much shorter-term injury than that.

2:41.0

So that's great news.

2:42.2

If he is sideline, though, for this week or for however many games,

2:46.2

we're talking about a guy that had 22 targets over the first two games here.

2:49.8

With him out of the lineup, it's obviously going to free up more for Chase Claypool and Jujus Mish
