His name is William Arkin, and we spoke back in September about a book he published in 2021.

The title of that book is The Generals Have No Clothes.

The Untold Story of Our Endless Wars, an excellent book. And we went in detail about that book.

But we're going to kind of cover some topics around another book that he published in 2011.

The title of that book, the book we're going to cover today, is Top Secret America,

The Rise of the New American Security State, which I read through.

Really fascinating book.

It's a very well put together book on Kindle.

It has a lot of multimedia that I haven't seen in some other books. But Mr. Arkin is one of America's premier

military experts. His investigative work has appeared on the front pages of the New York Times,

the Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Times, and has won many awards. He served as an NBC news analyst and reporter for 30 years

and is the best-selling author of more than a dozen books.
