Okay, so we are now beginning our part three.

Part one was a series of lectures talking about why we need religion.

Part two was a series of lectures mentioning why Islam is true. So far so good.

Now we will dive into the actual content of the class, which will itself be divided into two parts.

Maybe I'll do a part three, part four, or part three A, part three B. The purpose of this

class is modern theology, as you know. And as you're aware, one of the goals that we're trying

to do is to look at issues that are of concern to our generation and not regurgitate

controversies that have been forgotten in the annals of history.

So we have a long series of issues that are troubling that people are trying to grapple with,

that might even cause doubts about Islam, that might even cause people to leave Islam.

That list is quite long and it can be divided I

think quite easily into two categories. The first category problems that are not new

they've been discussed and rehashed but for whatever whatever reason, they have come back to the forefront, or perhaps they never left the minds of people in the first place.

So even though the class is modern theology, because these are theological questions that we're still grappling with, we will tackle them.
