House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is set to introduce a commitment to America in

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on September 19th, that will focus on why people should vote

for Republicans instead of just voting against Democrats.

That's from Axios, who first reported that story.

The document will focus on four key commitments the Republican Party plans to focus on, an economy

that is strong, a nation that is safe, a future that is free, and a government that is

accountable.

That's per Axios.

The New York Post reported that the name Commitment to America is a deliberate callback

to Newt Gingrich's 1994 contract with America, which is credited with helping Republicans

regain control of the House of Representatives, and that year for the first time in more

than four decades.

McCarthy's office reportedly began distributing messaging memos on the four priorities ahead

of the August recess, while also previewing the plan during a speech in Scranton, Pennsylvania

last week, just before President Biden delivered speech in Philadelphia.
