Trump's disastrous trade war is getting pushback from all sides. Not only are Democrats

questioning whether or not what he did amounted to insider trading, top Republican donors,

the Koch brothers, are funding a lawsuit asking the court to stop Trump from imposing tariffs

without congressional approval. My name is Dean Adol with the Midas Touch Network.

Let's break this down.

Now, the Koch brothers funded lawsuit has essentially the same argument as the bipartisan bill that was introduced at the Senate, the one that Senator Chuck Grassley co-sponsored and is gaining more momentum among the senators, that Trump doesn't have the authority under this

act that he's trying to say he does. It's the International Emergency Economics Powers Act of 1977.

He's saying there's an emergency because fentanyl is coming into this country and he's allowed to

impose terrorists under that act because of it. And Grassley's

bill is basically saying, no, Congress has the authority to impose tariffs, not the president.

And this is essentially the same argument that is being made in court. Now, the argument is being

made specifically. The plaintiff is called Simplified. It's a small business located in Pensacola, Florida.

That's where they filed the lawsuit.

And the Coop Brothers are just funding the lawsuit.

The argument by the small business is that you are hurting our business because you're

imposing tariffs on the goods that we are importing from China, and this is going to

harm our business.

And so they're trying to have the court basically step in and tell Trump that what he's doing

is unconstitutional.

And we have seen over and over again, and even just these 70 or so short days that Trump has

been in office, that the courts have done a much better job at stepping in and at

least pausing a lot of Trump's actions. Congress because it's controlled by the Republicans,
