fruit. Spreading around the world is a disease that's killing the Cavendish,

the world's number one export banana,

the type of banana you probably have in your kitchen.

The fungus grows, kills the plant, the plant falls and the fungus continues with the next

plant.

And once it's in the soil, soil is virtually impossible to remove it.

A lot is at stake in saving this food.
