And mulching is, as we discussed in earlier episode, one of the number one, not one of, it is the number one way to improve your soil condition regarding, regardless of your soil types.

I've lived in Florida for 10 years prior to returning back home to my home state California

and I know here in California the predominant soil type is mostly clay, whereas in Florida it's mostly sandy, and for both extreme soil conditions, the number one way to improve your soil conditions for planting, whether it be fruit trees or vegetables, is introducing

wood chips and or mulching throughout your entire garden property.

So here's the obvious next question I would have if I'm listening to that as a new gardener is I say how could completely different

Soil conditions be solved by the same solution in mulching.

The issue our gardeners in Florida have

is that they're watering their plants

and they're having difficulty, you know, fertilizing,

they're having difficulty. Again again with sand the issue is that sand doesn't retain nutrients, nor water well at all.
