Connor Wegman has a chance to be a star not only in the SEC, but college football in general.

I don't utter that phrase lightly.

I'm not one of the sports media guys that just compliments everybody.

And while there are many reasons why I think the new Aggie starter could be elite,

let's look at some of the biggest ones.

The first is, even though he was only a freshman last year,

you could tell he knew what he was seeing coverage wise,

and he was able to not only diagnose it pre-snap,

but he could see the mid-play movement by safeties and the changing guys in the box.

He wasn't overwhelmed by any disguises he got,

or the multiple looks he received from the front seven.

Half of the battle for young quarterbacks and quarterbacks in general that are developing

is not oversimplifying or over complicating what they are actually getting.
