So today we are going to talk about your rights.

And I think it was the end of May is when I spoke to Evan Stark. And Evan Stark pretty much wrote the book with some others on coercive control.

And you can find that episode, if you kind of go further back around,

it might have been the end of May beginning of June.

But in my chatting with Evan Stark after when we turned the recorder off,

he encouraged me to not just focus on, you know, the things

that are done wrong to people, red flags and all those things, but he wanted me to start

reminding people of their rights. And since our conversation, I haven't actually been very good at doing that.

So I kind of just wanted to start off by doing an episode like this so I could get into the flow

of pointing out people's rights to them. Because when you're doing an episode with someone or a

survivor story episode, you know, sometimes people ask me, like,

how come I don't interrupt or not interrupt, but I don't get more involved. And what a lot of

people don't understand is when someone is telling the story, pretty much from beginning to end for
