A while back, I did an extensive study on blog

income, which identified the blogging niches with the highest median monthly income. For the

median income, food and personal finance bloggers were at the top. The food bloggers had a median

monthly income of $9,169, and the personal finance

bloggers came in just a hair below at $9,100. The next three niches that made up the top five

were lifestyle at $5,199 per month, mommy blogs at $5,199 per month, Mommy Blogs at $5,150 per month, and travel at $5,000

per month.

What is interesting about the top five is that food, lifestyle, and mommy blogs get the majority of their traffic from

recipe and food related blog posts.

Think about that for a second.

Pretty much one post type accounts for the majority of income of three of the top five

highest income earning blog niches.

My original blog income study was based upon bloggers that revealed their income

through income report posts on their blog.

While it is extremely accurate when it comes to actual income and page views, it still
