This is Patrick Brown. We've got a breaking news edition today as

Tennessee has landed yet another commitment for its 2025 recruiting class.

The Falls have landed four-star top 100 safety Laganza Hayward out of Toms County in Georgia.

Here with me to discuss his recruitment, what Tennessee is getting as a player, and more

is our resident recruiting expert Ryan Callahan and Ryan Tennessee was earlier than everyone it looked like on

Hayward back last fall he brought up that loyalty a few times during the process

talking to him after visits and whatnot what about this

recruitment led to this point and what is Tennessee getting in this safety here

out of Georgia? Yeah the first of all just really nice pick up. I mean top 100 player nationally and this is the position where Tennessee has not gotten a lot, you know, they've obviously landed a lot of good players at a lot of different positions under Josh

Heeple but this is a position where they've not necessarily recruited at this

level a whole lot so to go out and win a battle of this caliber and to beat out the other finalists for Georgia, Florida,

South Carolina to win a battle like that for a good player in South Georgia.

A really nice win here for Tennessee and we'll get into

sort of the specifics of him as a player because he's got a kind of unique

skill set too on top of that but just just a big recruiting win for multiple

reasons but at the same time you know this was one Tennessee and Laganza

Hayward seemed like a match from the start you know they they offered him back in November when he visit for the first time for the Tennessee Yukon game and talking with him before he went public with the decision. He made it clear this was you know really from that first visit. He was kind of already thinking about like I could really play at Tennessee like I think I want to go there.
