I'm Andrew Merrick and I'm happy to be back for a series in the lead up to the NFL draft. Today I'm going to be talking about the top 10 most likely trade up candidates for the

Green Bay Packers. If you have been following this series, I went through each of the Packers

picks and talked about the top 10 most likely draft selections in each of those areas. So if you

want to know some really distinct possibilities of who the

Packers might be taking in the second through seventh rounds, there's episodes on each that

are available on the Packet Audio channel and also up on YouTube. So we're talking trade up today,

specifically looking at moving up from pick 52 in the second round.

And yes, on the surface, Green Bay seems really unlikely to trade up because of the lack of

draft capital that they have.

But I think there are some situations where they could resolve a big need if they identify

a player at that position that they feel like can make an

immediate impact on this season and I know from a fan standpoint sometimes it seems like

there are needs everywhere we look but realistically when you compare them to other

rosters if players come back healthy yes there are some key weaknesses to this roster, but I think you could identify those.

And also, the Packers probably aren't going to be able to fill all of those with draft selections that are ready to compete right away.

So, you know, Andy has been talking a lot about the post-NFL draft free agency that the

Packers may very well take advantage of.

So trading up may get you an impact rookie, and you can address some of those needs after
