Of course, we get to this time of year and we get to rank every position, right?

0:35.6

And we get to find out who we think the elite players are, who some of the sleepers are, which I think there could be a lot of in this draft, right? This is kind of a draft with not a lot of blue chip talent in it, but if you can find those successes in the mid-rounds, you could really make your team a lot better, I think. Absolutely. So we're going to break down all 10 of our top 10 quarterbacks in this year's draft. Actually about 12 guys we're going to break down.

0:55.5

I'll and I, of course, have different lists.

1:42.1

Dalton, let's go over our top 10 quarterback list. Maybe you go 10 through

1:46.7

six, who are your first five quarterbacks you're talking about. So number, I'll work from the

1:51.6

bottom up. Number 10, I have Diego Pavia from Vanderbilt. Number nine, Luke Altmeier from Illinois.

1:57.1

Number eight, I have Joey Aguilar from Tennessee. Number seven, Drew Aller from Penn State, and number six, Carson Beck from Miami. All right. So my 10th through six real quick, before we dive into these guys more in depth. I have Luke Altmeier, the Illinois quarterback at 10. I have Cole Payton, the quarterback from North Dakota State at nine. Diego Pavia, the Vanderbilt QB at 8. Carson Beck at 7 from Miami and Drew Aller at 6. So start off, Dahlin with Joey Aguilar, who I had 13th out of these 17 quarterbacks that I watched. What made you want to put on your top 10? So Aguilar is a guy who got a lot better this year at Tennessee. Two years at App State as the starter. It was a seventh year in college football, four years in junior college, two years as the starter in Appalachian State, and then one year at Tennessee, 90.6 passing grade this year. And look, he's always had the propensity for big time throws, especially down the middle of the field. He went to the right offense in Josh Hepple' offense at Tennessee for his college production. He's got about a B-to-B plus arm, really good deep ball, especially really knows how to throw it uphill and put some touch on the deep ball. I like the way he throws the ball even in the red zone, given his targets, a high ball so they can come down with it and really win with their catch radius. I think when you look at the concerns for Aguilar, for me, number one, now it was better this year,

3:11.3

only a 1.9% turnover-worthy play rate, but there is a history of ball security issues, right?

3:17.3

The two years prior, 51 turnover worthy plays, the next closest quarterback in the country only had 40. So he can be a bit of a gunslinger, especially against better defenses. And I think it benefited him in Tennessee's offense, but to me, a bit of a one-reed passer, right? Kind of one-reed takeoff gets a little bit stuck in his second and third read. But he's a sneaky athlete. He's got a pretty smooth delivery. He understands how to get his front side to the target. Two things I look for a lot of times are footwork and front side alignment when it comes to accuracy. Those are both reasonably good, but he's going to have to make the adjustment to running an NFL offense and then again, continue. If he can continue the improved ball security he showed this year, I think he could make it

3:58.4

as a backup. That's going to be the biggest concern for me. Yeah, I like Joey Aguilar. Again, he had a great year in Tennessee this past year with over a 90 PFF grade. By the way, we don't even know if Joey Aguilar will be in this year's draft. But he and also a quarter of talking about later Trinidad Chambliss. They're both suing right now, the NCAA for another year of eligibility.
