I'm on the phone with Brian, and on this week's episode, Brian and I are going to be discussing the past year in horror.

And we'll talk about some of our favorite films, performances,

scares, and what we're looking forward to as we go into 2024 in the world of horror.

We're going to keep a spoiler-free. So if you are looking for recommendations on movies to go

back and check out from this year, you're in a safe space. We won't ruin anything for you. And hopefully you'll come away from this convo with some ideas to put on your list.

Brian, you've been pretty vocal this year.

I think, you know, as we've kind of gone movie by movie,

talking about one, like how much you liked 2022 and we'll have a year like that again.

And two, I felt like you were disappointed this year.

But how have you felt now that we're at the end of year about, like, how 2020

compared to 2022?

I've been really struggling with it because it's just like

2022 is looming so large over it that I have a hard time seeing

2023 with clear eyes. Oh boy. In the end I'm thinking it's not that bad

it's a pretty good year for horror, actually.

It's just that in 2022, horror kicked so much ass that it seems like a steep decline here,
