Welcome to show, guys. I got a heated episode here for you. We are talking about the top 10 fantasy football pests for this year. And again, for this show, I wasn't going to bring Jim on because I really wanted to rent and rate, but I wanted to bring in a new show party here to kind of keep me in check and talk some stats here. Welcome to show Jim.

0:23.0

Hey, how's it going, counselor? Oh, not good at all. I'm pissed. We're talking about pests. We're talking about the worst players in the NFL, getting playing time over the potential stars. This should be getting playing time. We're going to rip into guys like David Montgomery and Josh Palmer. We have zero business being on the field. Now Jim might disagree on a couple of things, but I don't care. And maybe he'll be the voice for some of you guys who are disagreeing with me, but I don't care. Now somebody was saying, well,

0:53.0

you're so wrong on guys equit and johnson and all these guys that aren't getting playing time. Yes, I am. But most of them were stashes. And also I want to I want to do another disclaimer. Okay. The kids. She just were wrong on a ton of picks to Higgins. How about Devonte Smith? Right. He's not doing the hottest this year. Right. Who else is there? My brains. I haven't worked right now. Austin Eckler. He has a crappy week this week. There's a ton more players that have crap that JK Dobbins probably told you drive JK Dobbins. How about him? And on and on and on. And on and on. And on and on.

And this has been that unorthodox year. Has it has it been Jim? It's been a crazy. It has been obviously huge injuries all over the place, which is terrible. But also just low scoring. We are just not seeing the point score that have been scored in prior seasons that I was I was reading about some stat. The other day talking about the over under on NFL games. And like 80% of the NFL games have hit the under on that bet, which is just ridiculous.

1:53.0

And it hurts all of us. Certainly we love the offensive rattle dazzle. That's what fantasy football is all about. And we're not getting it this year. And that is also extremely frustrating. Yeah. It's an extremely weird year. Completely. Completely. We're going to dive into how weird it is. Okay. So let's start off with the first past here that I absolutely dislike. And he is injured, which is going to sideline. And I think Dan Campbell said that David Montgomery is going to be out. I think for a little bit, which you could do.

2:23.0

Maybe maybe a week, maybe two, maybe three. We don't know. He's not on IR. So David Montgomery is my first past that I absolutely dislike and hate this year. And Jim is going to disagree with this. But let me explain my reasoning. Okay. David Montgomery years to wow us. We're not wowed. Okay. In Chicago. Like lackluster. How does Sheriff injuries never have broke up for any big ones? Just a guy. He's like the little engine that could. He's there. He could do it. He's just never really shined in Chicago. Now again, I wasn't ambassador to Montgomery.

2:53.0

They'd always bring in Tariq Cohen. Naggy would be there as a coach. And he would just always buzzkill him. So I was always against, you know, Tariq Cohen. Everybody that was hindering David Montgomery. But now they draft. And you saw the excitement. You've seen that meme video. Not even it's become a meme. But where the Lions, you know, front office and owners and all these guys. It's just scouts drafted. Happily drafted. Jamir Gibbs. Okay. Like everyone is excited. These all tricks.

3:23.0

Like this is our guy. And he's being benched. Like I mean, he's heard a little bit now. But, you know, first couple of weeks to his plate is the David Montgomery show getting over 30 attempts. And Jamir Gibbs. Your first overall pick being sideline. If you give and Jamir Gibbs looks better on the rise. He looks more explosive. Why are you writing the lackluster, David Montgomery. Jim. This has been a thorn in my side. Because I again, everybody was suggesting. Jamir Gibbs round two to three. That's where ADP was. And I was invested in the idea that the Lions actually believed in him.

3:53.0

But look what the situation that we're in now. Yeah, you know, I mean, it obviously is super frustrating how Jamir Gibbs has been used this season. I totally agree with you. They are under utilizing him. But there's got to be a reason why. And you know, usually when it comes to these young running backs. The biggest issue keeping them off the field is the fact that they're not good at past protection. They're not good at picking up the bliss. And that might be why Montgomery is out there more than he should now. Sexual relations. Sexual relations.

4:23.0

Last year, we know that they they used to running backs. They had swift and they had. Who's the other guy? A Williams, right? Jamal Williams. And you know, Jamal Williams was the goal line guy, the smash mouth. And and swift was the finesse guy. And that was the role I saw, you know, that that Gibbs was coming in for the finesse guy. Montgomery was coming in for the smash. And, you know, we knew that was going to happen. They paid Montgomery $6 million a year. They're not going to pay him $6 million a year to bench him. But, you know, again,

4:53.0

it has been very frustrating. But I want them both to succeed. I think they both can on this offense. But they got to give more work to Gibbs. And and, you know, look, Montgomery got hurt. Why? Because they've been overutilizing him. There's a balance there. They got to achieve some sort of balance. And that has not happened. And that is frustrating. First of the context, Jimmy is a Montgomery owner. Just just to let you guys know. So he's been great. He was like this year's Josh Jacobs. But, you know, not now. Now he's going to miss a couple of weeks. But, you know, I mean,

5:23.0

he's that kind of a player. And that's why I bet on him because I knew he would have that Jamal, that Jamal role in the offense. And he's never proven that he could be a workhorse back. And now they're forced to get into this position. And that's what's really pissing me off. They're forcing me. You're going to be a workhorse 30 attempts. No. And again, that's where I just cut you off a little bit there. I think there's some sort of sexual. I mean, the only logical explanation. Again, this is just my theory is there some sort of sexual relationship between Jamir and Dan Campbell or something like that.

5:53.0

Number one, number two, because I don't think it's based on talent. Number two, I really feel that Dan Campbell, right? He was probably a big part of the acquisition of David Montgomery. And the someone in the front office said, Hey, we're going to draft. Jamir gives first and wrong. Campbell's probably like, No, we don't need them. I think we're good with what we got. Again, this is just my theory on this. And I think it's just ego. I think Campbell's of egotistical moron. And he's a thug. And he's basically saying, No, David Montgomery is my guy. I'm going to force him.

6:23.0

I don't care what you guys say. It was your decision to get gives we were good enough with Montgomery. And that's where we're at. So that's the reason Jamir gives being bench. Because other than that, man, he looks way more explosive on the rise. He's a better running back. Give him the volume. It's like anything. You just got to give them the volume. I'll give you another example here. For example, giving him a volume. Cooper cup. As soon as he was sign line, who could stepped up? Why? Because a sheer volume. So you wonder how much more NFL town is hindered because the alpha is there, right? Because there's no opportunity to shot. And so

6:53.0

that's something to monitor again, moving forward now with Gibbs with David Montgomery hurt. How long is he going to be out? But again, this is total BS. And there's got to be some sort of realization here that he cannot handle the workload. He's been injured. He already had that bruised knee thigh early in the season. And now already he's out with ribs. So clearly, he can't handle the load. He never did in Chicago. So to me, he's a big time pass. And I can't stand him. He's got to just go away. Jamir gives these to be getting 30 attempts to game. And that's the bottom line.

7:23.0

I don't agree with you there, counselor, but they do need to give Gibbs more work. And I think that would also be to Montgomery's benefit because Montgomery's going to be fresher. So let's, let's, you know, give some more. Take some away for, you know, Montgomery doesn't need 30 touches of game. That's too much. No one can really handle that outside of Derek Henry, you know, give him 20 and then give all the rest to Jamir Gibbs. Let's see what he can do because yeah, I want to see that guy out there free Gibbs. Okay. So that's past number one is David Montsuckery. All right. All right. Next one.

7:53.0

Here we are talking about all God. This guy's got to go away. I mean, this guy's got to go away. Tyler Al Gier, this guy. Oh, man. What was I think he was like a third or fourth round pick. Yeah, I think he was a fourth or fifth round pick. I mean, he was, let me pull it up here. I want to get exact here. I mean, he is the biggest past. He's got to go. He's got to go. Like he's got to just either break his leg or go away. He was a fifth round pick. Yeah. Round pick. Here's what pisses me off here. Okay.

8:23.0

Tyler Al Gier, fifth round pick. Now, he had a good year last year. Okay. But that's not here or there. You draft B. John Robinson by Jan, you know, first overall, first overall pick for your team. This guy was a top eight pick, top 10 pick overall. He is by far the most talented. Like every, if you watch his highlights, it looks like you're watching one of those matrix movies. He's, he's amazing. Yeah, he's the best running back in the game. I don't care about you guys. CMC loser owners. Okay.

8:52.8

Because he's already back already. All right. So by Jan is by far the best running back in the game. You could debate me. He's the best kid on the team. And you're, and you're splitting carries with the fifth round pick Tyler Al Gier, who sucks. And I've been watching, man, Tyler Al Gier is not doing anything. He's running for negative yardage getting stuffed at the line. He's, he's not doing it. And what I'm saying is this is a direct. It's like literally a 50 50 split. And it should be 99% B. John 1% of

9:22.8

Gier. I'll use only there to clean the feet of by Jan Robinson. Clean the cleats of by Jan Robinson. So you come on. You clean his cleats. You, you get down on your knees and you clean by Jan's cleats. And you're off. That's all you do, Al Gier, because you have no business being on the field. You are the biggest pest. You need to get lost because by Jan is the guy. He needs to be a full workhorse. And if he, and it's catching up to the Falcons, because they lost last game. Why? Because they're running Al Gier.

9:52.8

And that's all I got to say. What are your thoughts on this, Jim? Yeah. I mean, again, it's another super frustrating situation. And Al Gier has not been effective. He was really good in the first game of the season, but he hasn't done anything really since then.

10:04.6

I think he's under four yards per carry. And yeah, they are over utilizing him when they've got B. John, like, like last week, when they were behind, they're trying to come back from being behind in the game they were playing. And, and they kept Al Gier out on the field. It's like, why don't you have your best players on the field? Get your best players out there.
