Hey, this is Patrick Coffin, and if you're anything like me, when you read articles and blog

posts and headlines on social media, you've noticed that some of them are not only

overused and cliche, but downright annoying, possibly evil.

So at the risk of seeming a little too peevish, I thought I'd share my top 10 internet phrases that call out that positively beg for a moratorium.

Number one, click-bait titles like, Man tries to hug Wild Renoceros and you won't

believe what happens next.

Or they laughed when a homeless man sat down at the piano, but what happened brought everyone to tears.

Or how about when click-bait titles lie about celebrities who are very much alive, but who are subject to photos and headlines like,

guess who died and no one noticed?

I'll give you one more.

How about a photo, this various versions of this.

It's a woman in a dorm room or something and it says,

this woman's husband divorced her when he noticed something in the background.

Number two, the phrase clapback, as in Lady Gaga clapped back at critics at the blah

blah blah award ceremony.

Number three, Netflix and chill.

Just say fornicate.

Okay?

Number four, sorry, not sorry.

Number five, cringe, especially men, real men, don't write cringe.

Number six, out of pocket.
