I like to think of points and miles as a game where the way you play is you do stuff to get points and miles

and then you do other stuff to redeem the points and miles for travel. And you win by, you know,

collecting as many points in miles as you can for the lowest possible cost in terms of time and money.

And even more importantly, by redeeming that

stuff for the best possible experiences you can get.

And so to do that, to win at this game, it helps to know your toolbox, to have a toolbox

of tools that can help you, both on the collecting side of things

and on the redemption side of things and also miscellaneous other stuff that goes on around the
