Tony sits down with Gaz & Jord to discuss everything from life growing up in Liverpool with the sunday league football culture to becoming a legend at Stalybridge Celtic. The lads start the pod discussing Tony's upbringing in Liverpool, what makes up the scouse mentality and why there's nothing in football like the Liverpool Sunday League culture. Tony then talks about his early life in non-league football playing for £50 a week, making the move to Stalybridge where he played with Lee Trundle and went on to become a club legend before talking about gaining that extra 1% by shaving their heads to intimidate the opposition. The trio then chat in depth about football dark arts, the importance of taking accountability & having a responsibility to have a relationship with the non-league fans. Tony then speaks about his decision to call time on his playing career and move into management, managing against Jonno & Bern and why having a good dressing room is crucial. Finally they end the pod talking about non-league managers going to watch under pressure managers, his experience managing Cammell Laird and Witton Albion.
